Help Amazon Appstore

DLed the Appstore and Angry Birds Rio today just fine on my Rooted Atrix. I went to the AppStore link and had them send me a Text msg with the link.

Well I was going to do this but I guess I can't on my Atrix yet. That sucks, maybe I'll just have to go ahead and root after all.

time to threaten a class-action or anti-trust lawsuit. Essentially they have said who we can and can't purchase applications from. They don't even have the tenuous leg that Apple has used all these years to hold their devices hostage. The attitude of American carriers is so backward and selfish... grrrr:mad:

I can't find the "amazon mobile" app in the market either. Amazon instructs to check "unknown sources" in the applications settings menu. My Atrix is rooted. But I remember when I did the steps I forgot to check "allow non-market apps" in super-one-click. Then I processed that step after the root. Would that be a problem? I thought I got it right but now I found out I don't have the "unknown sources" option.

Help is appreciated. Thank you

If you are rooted and enabled sideloading you can dl and install this app. The "unknown sources" checkbox doesn't exist on our Atrix but sideloading works...

So I have installed Amazon appstore through sideloading..

1) But every few weeks it keeps bugging about new updates!
Any way to turn that off?

2) Also I am got/bought some daily free apps from Amazon appstore (so it's in my Amazon purchase history) but am unable to install those because it's from unknown source.. How to download apk for them & sideload them?

I'm trying to figure the same thing out. Do I have to get an app that will allow side loading if so what is a good app to get? Or do we have to root the phone?
