Has anyone received their Epic from Amazon? I getting super anxious, my estimated ship date is Sept 13th but when I talked to their customer service rep she said everything on the Sprint end was complete. Just hoping my phone arrives sooner.
 
I ordered through Amazon too. I wanted to save the extra 50 bucks, but I just wish I had it already.

FWIW, I ordered my current phone, the Samsung Eternity, through Amazon when I got it 21 months ago. I ordered it on December 30th. The estimated delivery date was February 3rd and I received it January 6th. So it didn't take TOO long.

i did as well. i'm thinking it's going to come sooner since they don't seem to be going out of stock. my expected ship date is sept 15th.
 
mine is "being prepared for shipment" and i've been charged. leads me to believe it will ship out today and i should have it tomorrow finally! woo hoo!
 
Mine says "Shipping Soon," followed by,

  • "This portion of your order is being prepared for shipment and cannot be canceled or changed."
It changed to this last night. Hopefully it'll come sometime this year... It does say shipping estimate Sept 8-9. You'd think it would've shipped by now to meet those dates.

yeah that is weird. even more strange, mine says the same thing with my ship date still saying 15th. i have one day shipping though so as soon as it's through processing, it should ship. should arrive either tomorrow or friday at the latest.
 
I lost patience with Amazon. I'm flying out to a conference this Friday and really needed to have this phone no later than Thursday.

I canceled the Amazon order and ordered from letstalk.com on Saturday night and my phone is being delivered today. Finally.

I did pay an extra $15 for shipping, but this was a small price to pay IMHO.
 
Welp, it looks like amazon has finally shipped it. It's coming from Kentucky and says it should be here tomorrow (the 9th). As luck would have it, of course, I will be busy all throughout tomorrow and probably not even have the opportunity to come home until Friday night. Such is life, I suppose. Regardless, I'm glad it finally shipped. My patience after selling my Evo and now being android-less for 2 and a half weeks or so has really worn thin... I feel naked. I've been rocking an old motorola flip phone with pull-out antenna, in case anyone was wondering. The looks I get when its early 2000's polyphonic ringtones go off are priceless, though. Hah.

and all i have to say is photos online are sooo deceiving. it's a lot thinner than i thought. most likely selling my Evo haha

Awesome! Glad you finally got your Epic. :)

I agree, it's a lot thinner than it seems online! I had to drag my wife into the Sprint store to see for herself, because I think she had reservations about how big it would be with the keyboard. I think she was fairly surprised by how slim it was too.

I know how you feel about playing the waiting game...we have to wait until the first week of November to get our Epics! It's killing us to have to stand on the sidelines and watch everyone else enjoy their phones, but we're learning a lot by reading everyone's comments. We're living vicariously through this forum! :D
 
yeah. i love it so far. BUT the top piece on the left side wiggles a little and it's very annoying. will be exchanging for another most definitely.
 
Does Amazon charge tax and activation fee??

Whoever has received the epic already, can you please tell the epic that Amazon is shipping is from what build date?
