Amazon Kindle for Desire

I have the kindle app for my desire and I've bought a book which shows up, I have some files on my computer in .azw format which I've put onto the "Kindle" folder on the root of my SD card but the Kindle app won't show the books, can anybody help?

yup tried rebooting and then syncing and its not showing up

you could try the free download "SDRescan".

Doubt it will be effective if a reboot hasn't got them to show up, but might be a worthwhile 30 second experiment

Yeah my thinking was the SD card had not scanned for media.

Dunno then.

You'll need to email the files to your Kindle account, then sync your Kindle. Either that or use Calibre from the Linux repository to convert to .mobi.
