Help Amazon Prime

Funky, set a reminder a couple of days before the trial ends on your phone, or as others have said they will charge you.
Cheers mate I can't remember when I started it so I've set a reminder for a couple of weeks time just to be safe. How much does it cost anyway and is it worth it? I already have my ex's Netflix password and don't order much from Amazon :thumbsupdroid:

So I rang the helpline and ive spoken to a lot of south Asians who speak better English than me but this girl was terrible.. Shouldn't be working in a call center.
Between my broad Scots and her broken English it took half an hour to establish my delivery has been delayed and they dropped the 3.99 delivery charge which was nice.
Was worried they'd delivered it to my direct neighbours who I neither know nor trust :thumbsupdroid:
I also confirmed what you guys told me about Amazon Prime (not that I don't trust y'all lol) ;)

I've typically not had any problems with Prime shipping. They always have met the 2 day deadline. Keep in mind that if you order Wednesday night, it won't ship until Thursday and thus it will arrive Saturday(if you have Saturday delivery).

Wow wtf this is absolute bull shit - "sorry" for being rude.

... these frackers... I hate any unethical theft of your money like this!

>:--(

This kind of thing when companies rob you... sometimes I just don't know what to say...

Yeah mate I have Saturday delivery it's just that they mailed me saying it had been delivered today that made me panic :thumbsupdroid:

Prime delivery is definitely a YMMV situation.
I wish it were better in my neighborhood, but, the courier Amazon uses in my area just leaves packages on the doorstep, regardless of value or,if I paid extra on top of Prime for them to NOT do that.
It's not worth the headache/worry of someone possibly picking up my packages & the courier basically advertising that my home is unoccupied w/the evidence on the doorstep,a virtual "COME ON IN & HELP YOURSELF" sign................

Well, I can get Prime Instant Video as described above, but it is pretty clucky where you choose the video in your browser and it redirects to the app. And no Chromecast support makes it worthless for me. Thankfully that isn't why I use Prime. I buy enough through Amazon to make up the fee via shipping.

You can do it without the browser, but it is a convoluted process getting started. You have to have two different apps, the Amazon shopping app, (but not the version in Google Play, you have to get it from Amazon, or the Amazon Appstore app), and also the Instant Video app, available exclusively from the Amazon Appstore app, so I guess you actually need three separate apps lol. After you finally get all of that situated you can just use the Instant Video app and it works well.

I tried it on my PS3 last night and it worked great there, even with pretty slow Wi-Fi.

Messed around with the music app, kinda like the paid version of Pandora, no ads and unlimited skips. Also seems like you can pick albums directly. Only looked at it very little, so I'll have to investigate more to see what kind of selection they have.

Looking forward to getting my Kindle Paperwhite and trying out the Prime book features.
Prime seems like a good deal if you actual use all this stuff.

Well I've been playing youtube music thru my amp all night so haven't even bothered trying Amazon video yet. (doubt I ever will tbh. I'm more interested in movies than series (now that breaking bad, trailer Park Boys, Lillyhammer, better call Saul are finished and from what I hear, Netflix is better for movies ? (and orange is the new black s2 has started on netflix)
KOLIO I definitely feel your pain I'd be terrified to order something that doesn't fit through my letterbox even though I don't work (im a bum and sleep a lot) because the area I live in is the murder capital of Western Europe and not to be trusted. Just tonight I had to go see to an "altercation" (girl tryin to kick a girls door in) on our communal stairs.
Nah I don't think prime is for me but I'll keep it till Google Now tells me to cancel it lol :thumbsupdroid:

Have you seen The Wire? Based on those series you mentioned, you would probably like it, and it's on Prime. There are plenty of movies on there, too. You might as well check it out while you have it for free.

OK mate your word is as good as any. I'll check it out tomorrow.
THANKS!

Does anyone know if instant video accepts rooted devices though because according to some UK streaming apps my Android box is rooted. Titanium and root checker disagree and there's no SU app or anything to suggest any root access. Pita!

I've had no trouble with Prime and I'm rooted.

This isn't a discussion about how to skirt the free trial and take advantage of the system...any system.

I have had Prime for about six months and couldn't be happier! ...Especially since they've added Prime Same Day Shipping! I can order something this morning and it will be at my door by 8PM the same day! The movies (Instant and Prime Instant) are an added plus. The selection is okay. The great part is simply having an alternative to Netflix and iTunes. I wouldn't be without it. The shipping makes the membership pay for itself quickly.

See I could justify the shipping if I bought enough but I'm an unemployed bum lol..
Was planning to check out instant video tonight but got tuned into season 2 of Orange Is The New Black lol.... Sue me :D
