Amazon Wireless: Nexus is $79?!

my sister bought the droid charge during the penny sale for vzw, and we went through a ton of problems when her device malfunctioned. so be prepared if you decide to do this

well when she went to return the device, and had to call samsung, when verifying the IMEI number it was confirmed that the droid charge, was a refurbished charged... so imagine our surprise

My wife and I got these when AmazonWireless had a $99 price. Between us, my VGN has been perfect and hers had to be returned. Amazon handled the return and replacement without any issue. All we had to do was return her defective VGN before the 30 days and in the meantime they had overnighted her a Rezound ($79) as replacement. They gave us the cash difference immediately as well.

what happened for us is entirely different, maybe we got a newb at amazon, from what was discussed with my sister was that verizon cannot handle the return, she has to send it to the manufacturer to determine if a replacement needs to be sent out, and in the mean time use a loaner phone, and once the manufacturer sends amazon the replacement they can then send it to us.. if however we were to send the phone to verizon, amazon would have charged us $300 for the device, and also having to pay an early termination fee because we were supposed to keep that phone on our line for the first 6 months... kinda seems wierd, but we said we would never do something like that again... and so far we are staying true to that.

but then again, maybe it was the rep we got.

My wife was having the typical reception, battery drain, lack of data in known 4G areas and it wasn't something that was fixed with reboots or resets so they took it back without question. She was so frustrated with it she didn't want a replacement nexus but something completely different. I felt bad cause mine was awesome! (=
