Ambient light sensor - flashing red?

Hi

Has anyone noticed the light sensor flashing red (top right hand corner) ? Mine occasionally starts flashing during normal use, but is more noticeable during a call. Make a call and look at top right hand corner and please let me know if you can see a flashing light.

Thanks.

P.S. Thinks it the proximity sensor not light sensor, but still the question about it flashing is applicable.

On the Droid, this usually means low battery, but I'm not sure what phone you have.

You also could have set a notification to make your LED blink red - try checking this.

@wnajar: Since we're in the Acer Liquid Forum, saquib probably has an Acer Liquid. :p

@topic: I've noticed that as well. On my Acer Liquid, however, the light sensor appears to be blinking continuously when the screen is on.

I noticed it first when I turned on the screen once, then it would flash for a second or so. I don't know when it started to blink continuously or if it even did that from the beginning.

Did anyone else notice this? It's in the upper right hand corner above the screen and barely visible. It's best seen when it's dark around you.

(Btw, I tried turning off the Adjust brightness by light sensor option, but that didn't change anything.

Don't know what the blinking light is or does but I notice it blinking for no random reason sometimes when I turn on the phone from standby. May explain why battery drains faster(?).
