Root Amom RA Nandroid back up

hey guys i'm new to the whole rooting thing, but i just did it with unrevoked. i want to install the fresh rom and apparently i need to the nand back up my phone. i tried searching on how to do it but i cant find a step by step guide. can you guys link me?

Boot to recovery, or from Hboot, select recovery
click down to Nand and hit the power button
click down to nand backup and hit power button
this will start the nand back up for ya!

thanks also, question. what exactly will the nandroid recovery do? will it reflash to the state or rom that my phone was in at the time? thanks

it will restore a full image of your phone, everything but raidos, prl and pri

so it will return me to a rooted a stock state then? I just want to know, what to do after i flash, i dont want to redownload 200 apps, i have done a titanium data and app backup, will the data backup do the same as nandroid? or is it safe to restore with it and not affect my new rom?

if you restore apps through titanium backup, restore apps and data only, if an app gives you trouble wipe data, but that is how i do it, flash a new rom and restore through titanium. You can also get appsaver, and it will save all the .apk files for all apps and allow you to reinstall then individually.
