Root Amon_Ra Recovery

na3r0k

Newbie
Pretty newb at this whole process still. I'm loading cyanogen rom on my phone, and one of the processes it says to use is amon_ra recovery, what are the steps for me to load amon_ra. Do i need to wipe the data and factory reset, and then load the zip?
[Recovery] [09-Feb-2011] RA-supersonic-v2.3 - xda-developers
also which file do i want to download the file?
I'm guessing I could be going about this the wrong way....

read the http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/395962-guide-rooting-gingerbread-revolutionary.html sticky. it has a section for how to switch recoveries. check it out. if you have any questions feel free to ask.

may be a silly question but i rooted my phone about a year ago and have never had any issues, but is there a simple way to tell which recovery i am using?

easiest way is to go into recovery and look down at the bottom on the main page. it should say. also if the recovery is in green then that is amon ra.
