Android 2.0 and App Location

I sure hope Android 2.0 on Droid will allow us to install apps directly on SD card. I had a G1 and really felt like at some point Google would allow that without rooting. I played with the Sprint Hero for a couple of weeks and it had OS 1.5 and it was not an option. So all the way up to 1.5 and a year later and it's still not possible.

Has anyone seen if this is a feature by any chance?

It was not listed as a feature on the release information in the 2.0 SDK today, so I am guessing not. But it might be in there.
