Android 2.0 calendar widget does not date?

How come when I load up the calendar widget to display on my phone it just shows a small square with no dat or anything? It just says no upcoming events? Does it show the date or is there a widget that does the date etc?

The stock one isn't very good. Try searching "smooth calendar" and "calwidget" in the market for better options.

Sounds like you have 'agenda' view set. Open the calendar and then hit menu, change the view to month (or week, whatever you want).
