Ok. To start this off yes i realize the new velocity 1.1 is out BUT all i have is my laptop which does not have windows xp i have vista home edition so i never could get the long draw out process to work. Therefore youtube doesnt work anymore, my laptop recently got destroyed, i have no computer, my phone will shut off randomly and get stuck in a bootloop like 10 times a day...and popping an ally battery out is difficult. So before i get on the youtube topic if anyone has suggestions to help me out on the above please post it...ANY IDEAS. ***my phone is more than likely still under warranty, maybe going back completely stock would help but i have no computer or access

Ok, since i cant use youtube is there an alternative to it? Vevo is only music and i really like looking up random video's ect...

I still run 2.1-1 with Velocity .4 because my USB is buggy on my phone, and the screen is cracked so I can't get it replaced. My youtube works as long as I don't try to login to my account. As soon as I login, I get consistent force closes and the only way to get it to stop is to format my phone and reinstall the rom. Maybe that might help you. Don't try to login, it will never work, never has for me anyway.

Some websites, like funnyordie.com run their videos through the default video player. If you are looking for comedy that's your best best, I'm not sure about music.

Yes thanks cjohn, ill have to try that soon as i find a pc i can use, it is force closes, and i guess ive been logged in

Dont have to wipe all data and reflash, just go into application settings and wipe the data for just the youtube app. It will forget your login info and you'll be good to go.

See, everyone learn from this hhaahha such a simple solution to a problem ive had for about 6 months now...i didnt think of this because when i got into manage applications it shows "downloaded" i never knew there was an option to show the apps that are stock/un removable/never seen

I'd still like to go back stock, un root and factory reset so i can take it to verizon and get a new phone...does anyone live around the cleveland tn area?

I use the Skyfire browser to view videos (it can actually view some Flash videos on the Ally). I don't know if it would view Youtube videos instead of taking you to the Youtube site, but it might.

Well youtubes working better than ever. Ive spent many hours on there since ive not had it for so long
