I found this forum while looking for news on the android 2.1 update. Is there any definitive date from Verizon on the OTA version? I've heard about the leaked version but I'm a bit nervous about trying that.

Unless you're an advanced user who knows your way around dev crap, don't use the leaked version. The official version was scheduled for Q1'10, but it has been pushed indefinitely, so who knows if us Eris users will ever see 2.1.

was at Verizon today, looking at a Droid. I asked about google voice nav system integration on the HTC, as a month ago the salesman said it was coming.
This guy said it's a week out. I'm assuming he's speaking of the new operating system?
