Android 2.1 Update

it did! it really did! it confirmed that ANYONE can say its happening! i have half a mind to write up a blog saying i spoke with two vzw reps, one in store and one via 611 saying that they BOTH told me that the update is happening today! just to see how popular my blog gets for that day!

rofl! So so true. Everyone can "confirm" that it will be happening today, despite anyone actually getting it yet.

Personally, the only thing I can confirm is that there are currently about 6 threads all discussing the exact same thing.

well i called one earlier today and had a service problem, but then i inquired on the droid update and they said for sure today!

so then later i went and was going through mall and i walked by the verizon booth, well my uncle is the manager there so i stopped to see if he was working, sadly, he wasn't, but the guys tried their PITCH, tried to get me a better phone and when i showed them i was droid they backed off, but they did tell me that i might be interested in the fact that we are getting 2.1 TODAY and that flash is coming next week, the updates that have been sent are not only facebook updates but they are also the lube just like it has been said other places!

needless to say i am excited for today, i know these guys are right, the ones work with my uncle, how could they be wrong?!
 
same here in ohio.... im getting really sad very quick! i did just call 611 to even see what she said, she said there IS an update but only being pushed to certain serial numbers. IDK why but some may get some may not idk so far.
 
The January 22 maintenance update does not contain many bug fixes - many of those problems were fixed with the Dec 11 maintenance update.

Therefore, most folks probably wont notice any difference with the new update.
 
What happens if today goes by and there was no update? Or, if the update notification comes, is anyone gonna let it sit for a few days to check the furums for problems or issues before updating?
 
My droid got an OTA update last night and it caused the phone to get up, find Chuck Norris, and beat him up.

I was sad, though, because there's still no flash...

Did you get the lame MR update that does nothing but supposedly lube your phone for the 2.1 update? lol

But really guys I do not think we can expect this update to come...I think we would have heard from moto/verizon by now about an update right?

Did Chuck Norris show up and beat the crap out of you yet? Nobody beats up Chuck Norris, even joking about beating up chuck norris is punishable by death in 30 countries. Luckily he respects our consitution and the right of free speech, but if you incur his wrath with foolish statements his fists will do some talking of their own.
