They can't lock the thread. Lock this thread, and there would be no place to put the 10s of new threads each and every day that are all about the same thing. With just this one thread, it is much easier for most people to ignore the constant "i searched and couldn't find anything" posts that are usually 1 post down from this one.

That would be the 2.01 patch #1 in 2011 right? Using dates, Droids might be in the dumpter before getting the 2.1 rev 00 patch January 2100...

I doubt I'll be around for 2.2...

No, not at all. I just got off the phone with a Verizon rep, and he has confirmed that the world is, in fact, going to end in 2012. So I would anticipate the update sooner than that.
