I shifted from iOS to android and let me tell you, it sucks. awefully slow even on an htc desire HD...
and the best was something i was yet to faced, at last faced it yesterday... a message notification came, i go to messages to check the message and what i see is that there is not even a single message being displayed over there... this has happened a few times and whenever i restarted the phone things were fine, but not this time.. When i restarted the phone, all the messages on my SD card got deleted....... those had a lot of my important numbers and info... wonder whom to sue.. google or htc for a filthy device and a crappy OS.. going back to my iphone..

and i bet you dont realize that someone could have important info in messages which would take a lot of time and effort to get back.......
and bashing... well i guess improvement doesnt come by lauding......
and great for you that you have not faced the same problem.. owuld love to see your reply if ever u do face such a thing...

I faced such a thing, you know what I did? I got over it. It's annoying but moaning about it won't fix it. Compensation culture really gets on my nerves.

those are my exact thoughts!
if you liked your old phone then feel free to use it. overall most of us are happy with our handsets and worry about more important things and tend to back up or note down important texts with good old fashioned pen and paper if needs be!

anshulmalik, I believe this bug may be fixed in the gingerbread update, although that may or may not be available in your region yet.

However, as others have said, it would be wise to have a backup of your messages. I recommend you get a free app called 'SMS Backup & Restore' from the market, which can be set to automatically backup your messages every day.

I don't feel there is much more to be said, given the tone this thread has taken. As such, I'm closing the thread.
