android 2.3.5

Here are the "upgrades/updates" for 2.3.5 and 2.3.6. Pay attention to which apply to the Captivate GSII

2.3.5

Improved network performance for the Nexus S 4G, among other fixes and improvements (doesn't apply)
Fixed Bluetooth bug on Samsung Galaxy S (old phone)
Improved Gmail application
Shadow animations for list scrolling
Camera software enhancements (doesn't apply)
Improved battery efficiency (doesn't apply)

2.3.6

This version fixed a voice search bug. (doesn't apply)

As for ICS. No one knows. No one will know, until its released. Anyone saying otherwise, is lying.

How does it not apply? I'd take improved battery efficiency/ camera software (if anything can be improved such as extra features), and improved network functions. You don't know if it has bugs or not towards the network performance and any improvement is always welcomed. Plus ours is known for the weak security and i think it is necessary for an update just for that reason.

I rather have an updated Gingerbread with bug fixes than to know if or when we would get ICS

Do you own a Nexus S?

Yeah, I didn't think so.

Thanks for participating.

Whatever. You just keep asking about and waiting for those 2 updates.

I wasn't the one who asked the questions. I didn't make this thread. But anyway back to the Gingerbread situation. I rather have those updates soon rather than the overrated ice cream sandwhich which would take half a year+. Only thing i see beneficial from ICS is how it uses the processors
