When the ROMs come out, you can root and use Clockwork Mod to install Cyanogenmod 7 (Gingerbread!)

Not ATM. Best to do is hope that Motorola/VMUSA coughed up extra cash to Foxconn to turn out some OS version upgrades as it's clear that the fw is entirely Foxconn's build of Android.

It should be easy for them to make the upgrade because its stock android.

OK how do I do this if Motorola Triumph is not on the List! Which phone did you choose.

1. You can't use ROMManager. You have to flash a custom recovery yourself.
2. You use the custom recovery to flash the ROM.

There are much more in depth instructions in the all things root section here. If you need help after reading through that, make a topic there and people will be more than happy to help.
