Help Android 2.3 update deleted my SIM phonebook...

Hi guys,

The subject pretty much says it all, but I'll go into a little detail. Earlier today I updated my HTC Desire HD to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread is it?)

I have since discovered that my phone book and all of phone numbers don't seem to be there anymore. Contacts that were linked in via facebook are still accessible, but any that were on my SIM card from when I changed phones (back in November) are no longer there.

Is anyone experiencing similar problems or able to suggest what the problem may be?

Thanks in advance for your help...

Have you tried importing you contacts from your sim card to see if they are still on the sim card itself. If you click on people and then hit menu it gives you the option to import/export from sim card.

A new development...thanks for replying guys.

Seems I have nothing on my SIM Card...that may be because I transferred all my contacts when I got the new phone. However, even from my phone contacts (when I select view as you suggest) I'm missing loads...

It's also wiped my favourites...

Politika,

If you check your Google account online, are your contacts listed there?

If they are try clicking on the drop down menu in View-> Options -> Google

Make sure that whatever "Label" you have for your Contacts is selected.
