Help Android 4.0 - Google Voice Typing - Grumble

Ok, I just updated my Galaxy S2 to Android 4.0

My question is this:

I go to type a text message, I click the microphone icon to use the voice to text feature. I say something, it then appears on the page. But...if its not sure about a word it will underline that word. If you then click on the word or next to it to correct it, a list of what it thinks you might have meant to say pops up. And therein lies my issue. I don't want a list, I don't want the word underlined. I simply want the word on the page and the ability to correct manually, no predictions or suggestions for words are wanted.

I have went into the keyboard and voice settings, and have turned off every predictive text setting I can find but seem to be unable to turn off the word suggestions when using the voice input feature. I do not like predictive or suggestive text in any way. Is there a way to fix this other than to buy an iPhone?

Thank you for your help.

Moved you to the Galaxy s2 forums as this is a device specific issue.

If you are in the US let us know as we can move it to the correct carrier forum.

I don't think that there's a switch to turn that feature off based on my testing... but, luckily for you, you can alternatively look for another keyboard app that can dictate speech to text without the highlighting for text correction. Swiftkey is one of them, there are also free ones that are highly customizable to suit your needs.
