Android 4.1.2 odd icon

Hello. I am a new forum user and have a Droid Razr running 4.1.2. I have found a strange icon on my notification bar that I have never seen before and I cannot figure out what it is. Unfortunately, I cannot post links or images because I am new here, so I will try to describe it. I looked online for an icon legend but did not find what I am looking for, nor was the icon mentioned in the Help Center app. It appears above my signal bar and to the right of the 3G/4G icon. I have only noticed it while at home. It looks like a small blue house with little halos above it. It flashes off and on. Does anybody know what this is or what it means? Thank you.

The only symbol I can think of that would look like that would be WiFi.

ok, that's not WiFi. I'm not sure what that is. My Galaxy S3 doesn't have that icon.

Hmm I've never seen that on my s3, I think only icon that would even appear there is roaming icon

You probably have a network extender installed (or you're piggybacking on your neighbors)...I have one at home and have a similar icon.

It must have found something my neighbor has because I don't have a network extender.

Did a quick google search, that's probably what it is, sprints airave gives a similar icon.

At least it should help out if you have weak signal in the house...it seems to work for me.
