Root Android 4.2 for the DHD

on cfx not working for me too..but work on CM by Mustaavalkosta and AOKP by PipelinerArd..for other rom, I'm not sure..

Thanks. For the Mustaavalkosta ROM is it best to go for the nightlies or the 'M' series? (I will read the thread but pointers are always nice!).

I used Mustaavalkosta latest M-Series and it was stable. I had a problem with one App I used. Tasks by Team Tasks, where I had sync problems.

The Android 4.2 ROM started out pretty well in terms of stability. Newer builds have caused all sorts of problems. Basically, the problem is they are syncing a CM ROM made for another device, so the fixes are not designed for the DHD so it is a bit of luck whether a newer version will work better for out device.

That being said, PipelinerArd's March 15, 2013 release looks to be a good bet. Stability and lag fixed. If you have GPS issues with it, a Radio update may be needed.

M1 was cool and stable, fast..everything was great..now, M2 is not..battery drain, random restart, lose data..and I don't remember what else, for me, for now, nghtlies is better than M2.

Looking good so far. GPS fine with me (latest radio anyway) and I have auto-rotation back!!!!!!

Admittedly I haven't used the phone much as you can tell, but with lots of other jb roms I've tried before, the battery pretty much ran out after a day and a half just sitting idle. Mustavalkova nightlies rom though has great battery life under the same conditions that I've tested out other jb roms
