Android 4.4.3 KitKat Rumored For Virgin Mobile GS3

Virgin Mobile has acknowledged (via Facebook) that the update was released beginning May 27th, and the time frame to receive it will be through June 11th.

Android 4.4.3 hasn't even been released yet

If you're referring to 4.4 in general, yes there are changes to SD accessibility

Typical OTA upgrades are pushed to about 1% of the users within 24hrs, if you have already been notified of the KitKat upgrade for your Galaxy S3 congrats your are the 1%, between 48-72hrs the OTA upgrades are pushed to 25% of the users. At 72+hrs it is then increased to 50% and within 2-3 weeks the majority of Virgin Mobile Galaxy S3 should have the KitKat upgrade available to download.

I know that's the way Google pushes them out, are you sure virgin pushes them out the same way?

I'm just asking because I'm curious. If you have a link id like to read more

Looks like I was one of the 1% - had the message on the phone to update when I got home today. Let it install while I went for a bike ride, looks like it worked fine right off the bat (my phone isn't rooted). So far, no SD card issues. The main thing I was worried about was having access to my music, and I can play it without issue.

Must admit I haven't read the thread sorry but is 4.4.3 anything to get excited about over 4.4.2 on a non nexus. I'm actually worried about how it's gonna affect the kitkat roms that are finally excellent.
I'm also worried about that thing Koush warned about ages ago about how this update could affect unprepared root apps..
Anyone knows if ART is gonna be default run time in stock 4.4.3?
Sorry I realise I've taken this topic off on a tangent as-per!

Could you possibly upload the update for us to grab it haha.. Just curious

Lol he would have to be rooted, wipe all personal data from his phone, make a nandroid backup, upload it for you to restore on your rooted phone.
I believe that's how peeps used to share roms in the good old days?

Most if not all US wireless providers follow Google's steps in the OTA update process in case there are major bugs within the update that need to be addressed.
