As always kudos to all developers of Motorola Triumph for all their hard-work and passion to make super Motorola Triumph ROMs!

Google has unveiled (released) Androdi 4.4 Kitkat and reportedly it is designed to run on low end devices.

Would it be possible to port and run Android 4.4 on Motorola Triumph?

Would something like any drivers or files from Motorola or Virgin Mobile USA (Sprint) will hinder full implementation of Android 4.4 to Motorola Triumph?

I'm very interested in this as well. I was planning on jumping to the moto x on republic when it came out, but if the triumph can be updated to 4.4, that would be awesome.

I think we should wait until it gets pushed to devices and see if stock triumphs get it before we do anything.

I don't think it will be pushed out. Triumph was never updated beyond 2.2, and there aren't all that many out there any more. On top of that, it's one of the only phones to be on a grandfathered in plan of $25/month. All signs point to no official update.

Even though what you said may be true, its been confirmed that they are focusing on Samsung, HTC, and Motorola. You never know.

It's up to Virgin Mobile if it will get pushed out, not Motorola.

I'd say there's a 99.999999% chance there will be no update from VM.

I am not at all expecting Motorola or VirginMobileUSA to build and release any Android 4.4 update for Motorola Triumph.

I believe that only great Devs of Androidforums are capable of building a ROM based on Android 4.4 for Motoroal Triumoh.

Sorry to say but, 4.2, 4.3, and 4.4, are probably not gonna see the Triumph. Well they have seen a Triumph but won't boot at all. After trying cyanfox(4.3) and finding out the repo is outdated, I switched gears to CM10.2(4.3), got it all built but no boot at all. So then I tried CM10.1(4.2) same as the last. I had actually started on CM10.1 a while ago, but never got it to build, but after working on 10.2 I had found some things that I had not known when I was working on CM10.1. The initial release of Jb was more of an off shoot of ICS, which made it more compatible since we already had ICS. But, now it is a whole new beast, new gralloc and hwcomposer along with now 4.3 uses a new fstab version which is what is used to boot, plus tons more changes. There is only one shot left, and that is LegacyXperia, they got 10.1 on the 2011 Xperia line that uses the same SOC and I have gotten a bunch of stuff from the Xperia play in the past. If I can use there display setup then it might work. That will be my last go at anything over CM10. I am pretty sure I am the only one still working on the Triumph right now, and I have almost got CM10 to daily driver status if I can figure out the 3G, video overlay, and a few tiny issues.

So, that is what is going on in a nut shell. If anybody wants to help, I am more than willing to discuss and point you in the right directions. Just let me know.
