Android apps not runnig with data connection..

since I got this phone (2 or 3 weeks ago) I cannot make my android apps connect to internet using data connection (3.5G).. I can surf the web using the browser but everytime I use an android app it says that there is no connection..
I already set the APN and read online, but found no answer to this problem..
Do I have to grant any permission or something to the android apps to access the internet on data connection?? wifi works perfect..

any thoughts on this? thanks :)
 
You should not have to set an APN manually, that should be pushed down by your carrier when they activate the data plan.

I would call your carrier and verify they have properly added the Data plan to your account and get them to verify the APN settings THEY use.
