Android audio Control device

Hello all,

I'm current an undergraduate Electrical Engineering student working on a Senior Design project. Me and my partner(who's a computer Engineer) are working on an Audio/headphone jack control system for the Android platform. Basically our device would control android periphery devices using the Audio jack instead of the USB which requires alot of power. We're trying to get feedback on our idea and which direction to go in regards to what we should control, etc. One my second post in this thread I'll post a link to our questions, If you have a few minutes and can quickly fill it out for us it would be greatly appreciated and help us immensely in figuring out which way to go with our project.

Thanks,
Konrad

Bit off topic but have you seen that neat lil kickstarter project thats a button which plugs into the headphone jack? With its app you can assign it to a function but its mostly aimed at photography. it only sticks like 2mm out of the phone once its in and has a keychain holder to clip it into when not in use. Wish i could remember the name. Something like pressit or sumthin :)
