Android Beam MIA in ICS upgrade

Phever

Lurker
Estimates say that about 5% of current Android devices are running on ICS so I feel that it isn't unusual for something like this to have gone unnoticed from a major update. I mean, there aren't enough of us around to go dancing through the hallways looking for someone to tap phones with.
Android Beam was left out of our update to ICS.
I called T-Mobile a few days ago and went up 3 tech support levels and the final result was that the issue is unresolved.
The tech I spoke with would generate a new "In-house Discussion Topic" in their "In-house Forum" to discuss the options to solve the issue but as it stands now we do not have Beam on our phones.
I also found something particularly interesting when I used Gesture Search to find Beam and it is that it brings as a result "Android Beam Settings" but when you tap on the option it causes settings to "Stop Unexpectedly" and it brings out the option to tell HTC about it.
What do yo say if we all tell HTC about it? Maybe that will have them DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?
