Help Android Boot Recovery Menu

vectors

Lurker
I need help (specific directions) on how to navigate into and execute the 'wipe cache partition' option from the boot menu on the LG Lucid.

I've searched, but cannot find specific instructions on 1> How to get into the menu itself and 2> Execute the 'wipe cache partition' option (shown below)

Menu:
reboot system now
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache

I know that when I'm in this menu (I have to get there first) that I can navigate using Volume+/- buttons, but how do I execute when I highlight the 'Wipe Cache Partition'?

Your help and experience is certainly appreciated, as two of my children have this phone, and they've both been acting a bit slow lately (the phones, not the kids :D).

Best,

No. Stock ROM, as well. The navigation sequence for the Lucid is better-kept than some military secrets, apparently. LOL

Would it help if I installed CWMR to be able to get to the Android Boot Recovery console?

Thanks for your reply.

yea, if the lucid is like the connect you wont ever see recovery on stock except maybe a flash of it with a fact reset.

Button combo on the Connect is hold power + vol down until the lg screen pops up. But with stock recovery if you confirm it does a factory reset, with cwm it just boots to cwm.

I got to the boot menu once on my daughters Lucid when she was home for the weekend from college. I had a website pulled-up that explained it but my browser crashed before I could print the steps out. (grrr...)

I appreciate your reply. If I install CWMR, will that allow me to wipe the cache partition like the Boot recovery Menu option will?

Thanks again.
