Android browser zoom smoothness

Here's a general question... I have an evo and there are apps like the htc gallery where smoothness of the animation are just as good as the iphones.

But why doesnt the browser zoom and scroll as nice as the iphone browser? Don't we have enough horsepower to match the quality as the iphone rendering?

My phone is just as smooth as my old 3gs. No problems what so ever with scrolling or pinch to zoom.

I have to agree with the OP...while the graphics match the iPhone on most other applications the zooming (I feel scrolling s just as good) does not live up to the iPhones. It is close but just not as good. I am running 1ghz on froyo on my D1 with the dolphin HD browser and it is pretty good..but could be better. If it could ever be as good as my zune HD's browser I would be estatic...the HD is better than the iPhone by 10 fold IMO

Idk, my N1 feels just as nice as my buddies ip4, my browser seems to be as smooth as can be
