I can pull up my account on my moto x and it finds them just fine. i have tried a few different accounts on my G3 and always shows unavailable. Anyone else having this issue?

Hmm, I just tried it too and mine says the same thing. :hmmmm:

I have locations turned on and in "Google Settings" on my phone under "Android Device Manager", both "Remotely locate this device" and "Allow remote lock and erase" boxes are checked.
Do you have those checked also?

Edit: well that's odd...I came here to post this, and when I went back into the Android Device Manager on my computer, it found it.
Perhaps it takes a couple minutes to locate after getting the "unavailable" message??

it will locate it from other sources, but the g3 itself will not show any devices I have tried to locate both of my phones. both say unavailable. I can do the same from my moto x and it locates them fine.

Not sure if this would have anything to do w/Android Device Manager, but, wouldn't hurt to rule it out:

Try altering your location settings, especially if they're in Battery Saving Mode,to High Accuracy Mode.
