Help Android Experts: Why do calls go right to vm?

My boyfriend has the Droid X and he knows how to work it well. He's constantly moding it.

But he won't answer me why for the last week when I call him it goes straight to voicemail. He says he doesn't get any of my calls and it won't stop. Everyone is saying it means I am blocked but he says I'm not. I was wondering if anybody knows anything about this because he doesn't seem to care or be concerned but it's kind of annoying having to text him and say "call me" because I can't call him.

his phone doesn't ring at all when I call, as far as I know he is not notified.

I'm beginning to get suspicious that he does have me blocked but I don't see why he would do that, because we are pretty close. It just doesn't make sense and I would like it to.

Has anybody else had a similar problem or can explain this.

The setting to send a person straight to voicemail is in the Contacts app. Tap a contact to view it, touch the menu button, select Options. There will be a checkbox to "Send calls directly to voicemail."

I use the Google Voice app. When I am at the office, I switch Google Voice to direct my calls to my desk, not my phone. Occasionally, I have been known to forget to switch back to my Droid X when I leave work. When I do this, folks can call me all day, but I'll never know it.

If you call your boyfriend from any other phone, will his X ring? If so, then he has you blocked... probably by accident. He may have been assigning a custom ring tone for you and selected the wrong option by mistake or an accidental touch of the screen.

though it is very possible something is up with the phone (sometimes i forget to select a ringtone after a custom rom install....and memory serves me there isnt one that rings tell you do)....

my only real answer to a question like yours is to never over react; but at the same time until you have something to worry about....trust your gut.

if you already know the answer to your question then look for verification....

(seems to me a guy who is always modding his phone could figure out why it doesnt ring when his girl calls....but hey, what do i know)
