Help Android Facebook

so i'm on the computer using facebook chat and i also receive the chat on my phone how can i stop that?

Go to your fb app, go to chat hit menu and set yourself as offline on your phone.

The problem with my facebook app is that I constantly receive a notificacion on the phone saying "You have X new messages". When I click on the option it goes back to the home screen as nothing happened. Then I check facebook and there are no new messages. I'm talking about inbox messages, I have the chat disabled.

I would also like to receive notifications on the phone when someone posts on my wall or comments a picture but I'm not getting any. Just when someone adds me as a friend.

Go to the menu page in the app where you can click chat, news feed, etc etc. Hit menu on your phone, settings, and notifications. Choose what you're notified for.

I know how to disable chat, but not the other notifications. I went to phone menu, settings, but cant find a notification option...
