I've been wondering for a while now.. Do we have t shirts sponsoring our community??

I think it'd be cool to have some for AF as well as sub groups such as OUDHS. :)

I have a zazzle account where I could have them made, but the royalties would go to me since it would be on my account. But I don't think that would be right..

So questions are,

Do we have official t shirts?

And if not could I have some made for us by zazzle?

A lot of forums/sites make T-shirts, but it really depends on the design and quality.

I wouldn't want the cheap generic shirts, but put a good design on a well made shirt and you may have people get interested.

It's definitely something we'd all have to collaborate on.

Maybe like an art contest and pick the best 10 and give them a cool prize and free T? I think it would be something cool. :)

Agree, if the design and quality is bad, I wouldn't want one either.

They give phandroid ones away in some of the contests (thats how i nabbed mine)

But I agree, it would certainly bring in extra revenue if Rob (owner) did something like this. I'm sure it is a big undertaking though

I think zazzle makes it pretty easy. So does cafepress

You should ask a mod to move this to the Suggestion Box where Phases or Rob will have a better chance of seeing it. I think it's a good idea. I wouldn't mind having one with the site logo on it.

Done, thanks to El Presidente. :D

No, not at all. It's a simple matter of creating a properly prepared image, i.e., high resolution, the correct dimensions, being mindful of the CMYK gamut, high enough DPI, etc., and uploading it to CafePress, Zazzle, or other PODs (print on demand companies) and applying it to the products you want. It's all virtual, i.e., there is no actual inventory, as each item is printed by the POD when it's ordered. They also handle all the billing, shipping, returns/exchanges, etc.

I've been doing this for years. I create all my images with the GIMP, saving them as transparent PNGs. Time per design? Anywhere from 3 minutes on up, depending on its complexity.

Not hard at all! :)
