Help Android help!

So I currently have Android 2.1 but I want to upgrade to 2.2 because when I try to download any app it just says 'Downloading' which is another problem of mine and where it says software update it tells me I have 'No Firmware'! I dont understand.
I purchased this phone early December if that adds any help.

Please help me! I will appreciate it.

'No Firmware'! is samsung talk for "no updates available" probably a poor Korean to English translation.

As for the Downloading and nothing happening , I get that and How I fix is to cancel the d/l and or update and re start it...

And well getting v2.2 "officially" we have to wait ... unofficially you can d/l them from the XDA forums....
