Android ID - possibly make android messenger?

So I'm snooping around the settings.db - was originally going to see if there was anything for 3g vs H logo for data transfer. But in the "gservices" tab, line 11 has a long number. It's NOT my IMEI number. Anyone know if it's similar to Blackberry's PIN and if so, I wonder if it'd be possible to make the "android messenger" utilizing that number.

I don't know how to program, but I know there are people who read these boards who're a lot smarter than I am

I don't think it's related. We have Google Talk for a BBM type replacement app. I'm not sure what uses the android id number, but I don't think it's a BBM type thing. Plus the number is way too long, haha.

No I'm not saying it's related, I'm just wondering if it'd be possible to send messages SIMILAR to what BB Messenger does using the android ID. As opposed to google talk.
