Root android keyboard making itself default in cm6

Does anyone have info on the android keyboard making itself default in cm6? I got everything working, and running stable, but the keyboard keeps defaulting to the stock cm6 keyboard, and I like Iphone keyboard soooo much. Did everything I read in these forums, but to no avail, it's an annoyance, but still don't want to live with that.

You can try maybe uninstalling the android keyboard.

The android keyboard is part of the system files, that's a nono! I did freeze it , experimenting, and no keyboard that I installed would come up. Is there a way to make another keyboard default? anybody?
