Android Keyboard Selection

When in text msg mode, I want to select and use the Android Keypad. However, the only keypad types available from the list are:
Qwerty, 3x4, Handwriting Box 1, & Handwriting Box 2.

How can I select the Android keypad so I can do voice texting?

Thanks

You're using the Samsung keyboard. Long-press on the input text box (compose area) and select Input Method. Then change to the Android keyboard. From the Android keyboard, you'll see a microphone on the lower left.

Or, you can go to Settings -> Locale and text -> Set default keyboard -> Android keyboard.

But remember, you can "fast switch" by long pressing on the text input fields.

Whn in the Samsung keyboard, if you have selected anything but Qwerty you have to go back to Qwerty before you see the "Input Method" box.

This solution worked perfectly. I'm very surprised how well the speach recognition works.

Thanks All.
