Android L Keyboard pulled from Google Play

I finally revisited Swiftkey after the update and love the themes and just remembered how much I loved this keyboard :)

Also, I have moved this thread to the Android Applications forum.

Just like most people, I have tried just about ALL the top keyboards and Swiftkey has the best predictive text feature of any of them! New themes are quite nice too!

I dunno what all the fuss was about with the Android L KB it didn't even have swype and the icons were flat and ugly. Swift FTW.

I've always been a fan of Swiftkey ever since I owned Android phone but this Android L keyboard is also good. I keep switching between these two.
And the keyboard has Swype feature.

I think there might indeed be a conflict between Google keyboard and Android L keyboard. I didn't uninstall Google keyboard when I downloaded Android L keyboard from Play Store. Yes, I know. I didn't read the description carefully. :p

Yesterday I decided to use the stock Google keyboard and when I long-pressed the smiley key, my Moto G shut down. I booted up my phone and switched back to the L keyboard. And then every time when I opened the L keyboard, it made a microphone sound like the one you hear after you say "Ok Google".

I thought that was odd. I've never had a glitch like this on my phone before. And then I remembered this thread. :)

Now I know why they recommend you to uninstall Google keyboard first before installing the L keyboard.

Since I can't uninstall Google keyboard (stock one on Moto G), I uninstalled the L keyboard.

I just wanted to tell you guys what's going on regarding Android L keyboard on my end.

That is what I was talking about, I don't think you can totally uninstall it on a non rooted phone. Did you get the non-rooted apk??

Mine was downloaded from Play Store when it was still available. So, I think it's for non-rooted phones.

It was working just fine though until I switched back to the stock Google keyboard.

It is for non-rooted phones. You have to uninstall the "stock" google KB first if you already have it installed. It conflicts otherwise.
