Help android launcher force closing

I just downloaded juice defender ultimate. It's a great app and it has all the features I need. But now launcher keeps force closing. I quickly tapped settings and uninstalled the program. Now everything is fine.
What can I do to have a functioning phone but also run jdu?
I tried downloading launcher pro but I didn't really like it.
Are there any other launchers that you would recommend?

Try GoLauncher Ex. I run Juice Defender on this launcher and it seems to be working great. I haven't had any force closures.

Try uninstalling Juice Defender & then reinstall it.

ADW Launcher is pretty cool, LauncherPro is good too. I've used them both. I am currently using ADW. Love it. Any but the stock launcher imo lol. Plus, you can get lots of cool themes.
