The widget looks really nice. I really like the team icons. I'm wondering if there should be a way that it scrolls through your favorites automatically. Would that use up a lot more battery? Or, if i recall, I think the sportstap widget showed you the favorite who is playing next by default.
How do others think that should work?
Same question here.i also am curious to see if the widget updates itself only when there is an alert, or will it update every 30 seconds, just as if you're inside the app itself?

Same question here.
I guess I'll find out tonight during the Knicks game.
Oh, since you are a Philly fan apparently....go Big Blue on Sunday!![]()
Thanks for the compliments on the widget. My first real project on this small team of ours. Here are a few responses, and some notes:
If there's a game in progress, the widget updates every 2-3 minutes. If there's nothing in progress, we check back every hour.
Also, you can have multiple large widgets. I've got one for my favorite teams: Giants, Sharks, Warriors and 49ers. I've also got one for the horrific NFC West.
FlyersKid: we've seen an oddity on the old G1 where the away team widget is way larger than the small one. We let that one slide to get the release out. I'll take another look, but we don't have a Hero to test against.
I don't disagree with that, but I think what flyerskid said makes sense. It should probably be the next game up that's displayed by default.lexluthor: I'm not thrilled about the scrolling widget. And yes, I fixed that end of quarter/start of quarter notification. Or at least I'm 99% sure I fixed it.
Also, I didn't see anyone comment on the bug I pointed out. It's a pretty big one if you like hockey.

Bug. In the hockey plays tab, it's only showing through the first period. I don't see any way to get plays after that.

Thanks everyone! This widget is just version one, it will receive more attention in future versions as well as moving the styling on the NFL page to the rest of the app.
Now for a yahoo christmas party, then I'm off for the rest of the year!
Merry Christmas (or equivalent)
So, um, what is a widget exactly? And how are they playing into much of the discussion here?
Assuming this term isn't unique to Live Scores either.
Need some help.
I can get the small widget to work, but not the large. With the large I select teams and then press "all done" and everything disappears, but no widget.
Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong.
Thank you that worked.I just added it a second time and it worked. I had the same problem the first time I tried to add it
Widget seemed to work pretty well tonight from what I can tell.lexluthor: I'm not thrilled about the scrolling widget. And yes, I fixed that end of quarter/start of quarter notification. Or at least I'm 99% sure I fixed it.
I did only get one notification tonight during the Knicks game between quarters. But the notification seemed to come at the beginning of the next quarter and the score, but the score wasn't necessarily the end of the quarter score if a few points were scored after the quarter started, but before the update came.
Perhaps the notification should be at the end of the quarter, not the start of the next?
Real minor stuff and I'm happy I'm not getting 2 notifications now, but just figured I'd throw it out there.
