Help Android mail sucks!!!!!!

I love my Inc. but I'm getting fed up with the email. I only receive 1 out of every 5-6 emails I get. They are always in my outlook on my PC but for some reason a very select few ever make it to my phone. I have it set up to check every 15 minutes also

You might have your outlook set to delete the email when it takes it down. If it does, it will never reach your android.

yeah i think it some setting you have messed up on the pc in outlook or email settings themselves and NOT with android at all

What type of email server are you connecting to with Outlook? Is it Exchange, POP or IMAP?

Sounds like your Outlook may be connecting to your mail server using POP, which will remove the messages from the server, so when your phone goes to check for new messages, they aren't on the server.

Some hosts don't support IMAP connections, but if yours does, this would be the better way to set up your connection from Outlook.

My work email server is POP. I didn't think it was an outlook setting since I never had any problems when I had my storm but I've been wrong before

sounds like a setting somewhere but i stopped using the stock email app when i was getting low memory messages because of the memory leak in the mail app.

I use K9 now and although I missed a few things in the beginning that the stock app did I love it now.

Using POP with a microsoft exchange server never really works all that well, just set it up as exchange. Even if you had it properly set to receive all your emails on POP you would get duplicates of things every day it gets really annoying, for instance if you reply to an email on your computer or your phone it will resend the original email to your phone as if it was a new mail. Many times it also does this when other people are replying to all on emails.

Just check the box "Leave a copy of the message on the server" in the outlook account settings. Thats all.

Not sure about newer win-servers but on 2003 only SBS can pull from POP. If that is the case then its up to the Administrator who manages the server to set it to leave a copy on the POP server.
