Hello, I just bought a brand new Archos 43 internet tablet (not a phone). When I went to the Android Market, it told me I needed an account that had my device associated with it. So I went to Settings, Accounts & Sync, and typed in my Gmail account. It wouldn't work, so I searched the web and found an article on this forum that seemed to solved it ( http://androidforums.com/archos-support-troubleshooting/277903-accounts-sync-gmail.html).
The thing is, after I successfully(?) sync'd my device with my Gmail account, and used it to enter the Android Market and attempted to download something, it still told me "There are no Android devices associated with this account."
I even went to Google Accounts, and checked out the option "View data stored in this account", and saw "Google Sync: 2 Android devices configured". (which is weird considering I only have one. Maybe it counted it twice). And when I use the Mail App on my Archos, it sends me to my Gmail, so I know the device recognises my mail.
I just don't get it.
Ps: I've found that there are looooots of people with this problem (albeit with different devices), and yet no answer: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Android+Market/thread?tid=1c88c8d311c1b540&hl=en
