Root Android market disappeared, help!

My market app has disappeared! I'm running plainjane2.1 and it was there and functioning properly the night b4. I did a nand backup last night and when I restored, it was gone. I've tried searching but can't seem to find a solution. Am I stuck having to re flash and wipe my data or is there a fix? Help please:(

Probably a re-flash.. sorry mate :(
 
Search for the googleapps zip and try flashing that (only takes a sec to flash, no wipe). I think that should contain the Market, Gmail, etc.

Thanks for the quick response. Having trouble finding the zip file. Can you point me in the right direction?
 
Actually now that I look at it further, I'm not sure if they are ROM-specific or not. I used the one from the White Widow thread (just a few below this one) since that's what I'm running. I also see another one for [ROM]ErisLightningBolt 2.8 CM5.08 build( OC, JIT, Apps2sd, GPS, Stock MMS!!!)6/21/10 - xda-developers at the link at the bottom of the first post. I'm not sure what's different.

Can anyone clarify this?

(well, I guess the worst that could happen is that it doesn't work, and you can just restore your nand backup, heh...)

I reflashed the rom without wiping data, but the market is still MIA. I'm open to any other ideas, but i may have to do a full wipe. Any final suggestions?
 
Did you try the other google apps zip? The one in the White Widow thread (here), as well as the one in the ErisLightningBolt thread (at XDA). Worth a shot!
 
Lol this is the first time I've seen this happen but a2sd sometimes does this. to fix do this

adb shell
/system/bin/a2sd fixmarket
I'm guessing you zipaligned the apps?
This is what he says causes market issues when you zipalign when the phone is already booted up instead of setting it to zipalign at boot up.
