android market not updating.

Hey all. I am having issues with my desire... it wont update to the new android market 2.07 or whatever it is.. my wife's desire has updated to the new market but mine hasnt. Does anyone have or know where I could get the apk file? Thanks in advance.

It's only needed in some countries. If you can already purchase apps you don't need it.

To auto update, you have to open the market and leave it open for 10 minutes.

thats what i thought, but my wife's desire updated to the new one.
the main difference is that her market has the "update all button" and mine doesn't...

Could it not be updating because my desire is rooted?

Not sure. I'm rooted and not got an update, however, it sounds like youre not even talking about the latest update. The update all was in the one before that. What rom are you on? You may need a newer version if its a custom.

i am on leedroid 2.2a
the latest update is 2.2e, but i dont want to update because it will probably wipe all my settings.

It won't. Your settings are on the data partition. When you flash a Rom, unless you do a wipe, your data will remain in tact. Roms only over write the system partition.

Take a backup via recovery and you can always go back

Glad to help @adizz131, any time.

Unfortunately, I am stuck in a region where I cannot make a purchase. So... THe "Top Paid" tab is pretty much useless.

Of course, running Market Enabler brings up the Google CheckOut screen... But without running Enabler, I guess there is no way to make a purchase. The app crashes/closes saying "error whilst processing Google CheckOut".

Can anyone clarify this?
