I'm new to Android phones and live in the UK

When i bought my phone a week ago the android market app was installed and i downloaded some free apps. Now it's disappeared!

How do I get it back?

Is it just gone from your home screen, or do you know it's definitely gone from the phone itself, i.e. it's not in the app menu.
You can download the market.apk file and reinstall it if you need to.

Have you removed it fully from the phone, or is the shortcut sat in the app drawer? If there is a shortcut long press on it and drop it on your homescreen.
