there is a some information on xda developers letting android users change the color of their gmail, facebook, and android market apps and i chose the color red cause im going with a resident evil theme for my phone. I changed the gmail and the facebook to the red app but for some reason my android market red wont install. i tried going in TB to see if i can do a backup of it and then uninstall it, it went through and i installed it the android market red.
just when i though things were great and i was satisfied with the outcome i tried downloading a app and it kept foreclosing on me every single time i tried, i had to flash my entire phone over to get things back up and running but i want that red market, can someone please help me? thanx in advance.

Try one of these themes out...

r3ds.theme.GlaSSMiX

Basic_Red

I have the Red Remix CM7, but there something on the old post we discuss entitled: theme compatibility for cm6 and cm7 ascend. it directs you to the honeycomb project and from there its another link that allow you to change the gmail, facebook, and android market. you think i need to flash the whole redmarket.zip because the market is transparent and red. As a matter of fact i did flash it and nothing happen is there any other way to make get the red transparent market?

It's this link here if you wanna check it out:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877510

only other way is find an icon and pull the market.apk out of the build and change out the icon and put it back in the build and reflash it, but thats on another level.

You can take an app thats installed and add .zip to the end then long press it adn select extract and it will extract it to a file and give you all the images and xml and java for the app. Just swap the pic you want out for the icon being sure to name it the same thing. Put the new icon in all 3 of the mpdi hdpi and ldpi folders which are under the res folder.

This does only work on certain apps. I dont know about the Market but I know you cant do it with FB. When you extract it it will put it in the folder but when you try to move it to the comp it doesnt show the file in the extraction folder.

if you use 7zip you can view it.

backup your rom before trying it, and see how it goes.
