Why is my Desire HD showing the old android market.. My X10 has the new android market with black theme alongwith books & movies..Do I have to download an app from HTC for this??
 
Hi prassu - not sure why you didn't get the new market pushed to your phone... if it helps, my wife hasn't had it on here SGS yet either!

You might want to check out this thread... it has a link for the "new" market (there has actually been another version released since, but that was just adding the music, which I don't think is available for the DHD anyway - will try to get a link for the newest version for you shortly)!

TheBrit - do you mean the version that El Presidente linked on the second page of that thread? I installed it the other day and have been very impressed... was rocking the version I linked at the beginning of the thread and was having all kinds of issues recently, but the newest one is really good!
 
Sorry about this, is it just a case of dropping the downloaded file onto the sd card and it should load?
I tried that but nothing happened, so tried from the pc and it didnt recognise the file, not sure how to access files via the phone itself :o

The way I did it was to come on here using my DHD and then download it directly on to my phone. Once it's on, I went in to "downloads" and it auto installed.

The main screen looks a little bit WP7 don't you think?
