Hi all ive just brought an adroid touch mid, how can i connect to the internet whilst out and about, will i need a dongle

If it's WiFi only then you need a device you can tether to (phone with tethering or MiFi type of device, etc).

It looks like that has wifi built in, so yes, you will need to connect to a wifi hotspot.
