Android new user, pls have pity on me

Hello, hello - I am a brand new user moving to Android from a Blackberry worldwide. My most pressing problem is that I cannot find the media card slot. I read several blog threads with descriptions and still can't find it. Could i have the lone slotless droid?
 
Which phone do you have? On my Hero the SD slot is under the battery cover and I'm pretty sure it's the same on most android phones.

yea which phonw do you have.. its there trust me. should have come with atleast a 2gb also
 
I have a motorola with Verizon service. I can find the slot under the battery cover but there's already a card there and I can't get it out.
 
Thanks. That was way too hard. And what good is it if you can't get to it without taking out the battery? Dumb if you ask me.

I believe one of the reasons behind the battery covering the SD card is to mitigate the possibility of a user removing the SD while a program is accessing data from the card.
