Help android os high background usage

Boost galaxy s2. Had for about a year and a half and I have 2.5 gigs a month. Its unlimited but boost throttles you after that.

I have never had an issue untill 3 months ago. I hit my 2.5gigs in 2 weeks and then it got soo bad I couldnt even load pandora. I have seen 100s of threads on this topic with androids and ICS. All say the same thing. Disable sync. Limit background data. Blah blah blah. I dont use sync. Ive always had it off. I dont watch youtube videos and never update youtube. I have done everything i can including disabling everything I possibly can in applications including anything google.. I have disabled google play google services google framework. I have checked the box at "do not keep activites" and no background process at limit background processes. I factory wiped my phone yesterday. And only have pandora on it. I should bot have to do this. I have never had the issue.

Someone tell me something new. Im not "phone tech smart" but know my way around any pc. Ive never rooted or modded a phone but if it will fix it, ill try it.. Can provide screenshots if needed.

Edit
Android os used 75mb in 12 hours while sitting on the table. In 3 hours its ran 260mb on wifi. :/

Thanks

Sounds like you have something running that uses data. You could look up some network info apps that will list what is using data. Also if you root you can get a fire wall app to limit what can use data. There are a lot of "free" apps that burn up data with ads and tracking, and i would avoid those.
