Android Phone 7 Theme

Thanks for the awesome tutorials! I know very little about graphic design, but I was still able to make a pretty cool homescreen:

I have a few questions: In Launcher Pro, what dimensions do you make the bottom five icons (if you have five) to make them line up and seem as if they are one image (like in you original post)? Or is this not possible? Also, how do you make the lock screen wallpaper different than that of your regular wallpaper (I have a rooted HTC Incredible with CM7). Thank you! :)

I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning so bear with me as I believe you are looking for the following information....to the best of my knowledge and the sizes that I use for mine, dock icons are 72x72 and the dock itself is 480X84.

PS - I like how you did up your screen layout...Paulmz is a good teacher indeed, he was the one that started me customizing my phone with his tutorials.

Everyone else is right. I used a 480x84 png as a background image for the dock (you can change the dock background in LauncherPro's settings). If you make your dock icons part of the background image, you can set tranparent png's as the actual functional icon after.

Also correct that I, as well as most other people, use WidgetLocker as a lockscreen replacement. It works great and is easy to customize (like setting a separate wallpaper for the lockscreen).
 
Thanks guys! For the lockscreen, is there a way to just change the wallpaper without using a separate app? I like my current lockscreen--I can draw gestures that quick-launch certain apps.

Excellent work!!! Between you and Paulmz my phone's screen seems incomplete. I hope to have half of the talent the two of you have to jazz up my phone. And I think the two of you should team up and work on some homescreens together. I can only imagine what the outcome of that would be.

Is that Launcher 7? I don't know if it is possible to have dock with Launcher 7 or to make that arrow disappear. That is anyway supposed to look like a Windows Phone.

You can always make your own icons and use them as you like with LauncherPro.
 
also paulmz, big thanks for this awesome thread. I've been running through images to make my own icons, which I will post once I'm done. But, can I request the stock image for your pandora icon? I'm looking to make a 351x136 3x1 icon. Been looking for that image everywhere, can't find it.

Hey guys, is it possible to have the text notification pop up in any other type of icon, not just the blue windows 7 icon? ive looked around and all ive seen are the blue icons

There are a couple of ways that you can do this.

The first option is to reskin the widgets the same way that I did to get the blue tiles.
I described how to do this here: Reskin Widgets Using APK Manager

The second option is to use the updated version of the app: SMS Unread Count The new version of the app allow you to set you own icons, but the one problem is that it downsizes the image so you can't get a full-sized icon to match the blocks of the other widgets.

GIMP is free and capable of doing the same thing
 
Wanted to share my setup with everyone, big thanks to paulmz for the guide. Let me know if you want me to post any icons. From 1 to 5, 3 is home screen. Dock text is smaller than I'd like, text is on the image itself with transparent icons.

I have tried to use some images and widgets of this thread with my SE X10 Mini Pro (240 x 320), but I'm having problems with the resolution. Which resolution should I use?? I have attached a capture of my desktop.
